Nella Cutlery was established back in 1901 by Emilio Nella the Great grandfather of it's present owners. Emilio Nella originated from a village in northern Italy called Carisolo. Carisolo is based in the Trentino region. In the early 1900 there was vast poverty in this region and Emilio was forced to leave his home village with his Mola ( portable grindstone) and walk until he found a place in which he wanted to settle. This journey took him one year and he managed earn money as he travelled by sharpening knives to be able to pay for food and accommodation. Once he arrived in England he settled in London where the company was born, and still thrives today. Nella cutlery now manufacturers and sells chefs knives all around the world and offers a sharpening service second to none.
